In this episode we begin our study of the fifth article of the Apostles Creed “He Descended into Hell, The Third Day He Rose Again From The Dead.” The Catechism explains that Christ descended into Hell in His Divine person united wholly to His Soul, while through His Divinity He also remained united to His body that remained in the sepulcher. We also take a brief look at Question 52 in the third part of the Summa Theologica which is devoted to Christ’s descent into Hell. In particular we look at the replies to article 1 and 2. (ST.
