In this episode of exploring the Catechism of the Council of Trent in a year, we conclude our study of the first article of faith by discussing the words “of all things visible and invisible. The CCT explains that God does not only create, bt he also lovingly governs the things He created by directing each thing to the good as to its proper end. We take a brief look at the Summa Theologica Q. 103, a. 1  as well as Q. 45. a. 6

Day 10 I believe in God the Father “Almighty”

In this episode we discuss the word almighty in the first article of the Creed. This word does not imply that God is able to do things which are actions of weakness (e.g lying or being deceived). Additionally, the in the understanding of the word “almighty” is virtually contained all the other attributes of God (e.g. omniscience, infinite essence, etc.)
